Overview
By default, when a user has begun Checkout on a vehicle they will be prompted to enter their first name, last name, email, and phone number. This information will generate a Lead that will be sent to your dealership's CRM once the Checkout modal has been exited. There are a few customizations that can be made to this lead capture process. These modifications can be set during the onboarding process.
Default
A customer enters Modal Checkout and is prompted to enter their first name, last name, email, and phone number(optional) to proceed. Please see this article to learn about all the information sent in a Modal Lead: Modal Auto-lead Data Format Version 2.0
Savings
The customer enter Modal Checkout and is still asked to enter the personal information mentioned above. However, they are then immediately shown any discounts or online adjustments that are being applied to the price. Then, by clicking the Checkout button, the customer will begin the normal Checkout flow.
No Lead Collection
While not recommended, Modal can configure it so that no personal information is collected when a customer first enters into Checkout. This will cause a lead to not be sent to your dealership's CRM system. Personal information will be later collected in the credit application.
