During Modal Checkout, a customer has an opportunity to complete a credit application to see monthly payment options. Modal does not make any inquiries on customer credit. Once the credit application is completed, Modal passes the information to the third-party financial service your dealership is integrated with. These services will then undertake their own credit pulls or inquiries. Any questions regarding checking customer credit should be requested through your third-party financial service. The most common services used by dealerships are DealerTrack and RouteOne. During the dealer onboarding process, Modal will be notified of the financial software your dealership is configured with.
