Overview
By design, Modal's Checkout is designed to use MSRP as the Retail Price line item in Checkout for new vehicles. The MSRP is determined by the value received in the MSRP field from your inventory feed provider's daily export to Modal's FTP server.
Can I Use A Different Field As The Base Price?
Unfortunately, at this time Modal only supports using the value in the MSRP field. If you wish to use a different field as the Retail Price in Checkout, please collaborate with your inventory feed provider and/or Modal support to have the desired price field mapped into Modal's feed file in the MSRP field. Once Modal has the data in the MSRP field the new MSRP will display in checkout.
Common Scenarios
Some OEMs charge a destination fee that is not included in the MSRP. You may need to set up a custom price field that includes MSRP + destination fee and ask your inventory provider to export this as MSRP.
